Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) F.C. Câmpina's Valentin Petrescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Valentin Petrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Şerb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When F.C. Câmpina's Liviu Hurezeanu in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stenea's goalie prevented a goal. 8 minutes into the game, Stenea's Petre Gorjanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilie Nenițescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a rather tough play, F.C. Câmpina's Mugurel Barascu got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Petre Gorjanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Petrescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucrețiu Şerb read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Ionică Pascaru's late challenge caught a Stenea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ionică Pascaru helped the player get up and apologised. Ionică Pascaru hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 32 minutes of play, F.C. Câmpina's Liviu Hurezeanu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucrețiu Şerb was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ilie Nenițescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petre Gorjanu in the 35th minute of the match. Ilie Nenițescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ionel Alupoaie's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Stenea were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after F.C. Câmpina's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dorel Oțeteleșanu took the corner. Ilie Nenițescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionel Alupoaie in the 44th minute of the match. F.C. Câmpina's Ilie Nenițescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Câmpina from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ionel Alupoaie to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Mugurel Barascu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Câmpina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stenea the free kick. In the 57th minute Valentin Petrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Şerb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C. Câmpina's Mugurel Barascu got his second yellow card of the match in the 58th minute. The referee ordered Mugurel Barascu off the ground. The supporters of Stenea booed when F.C. Câmpina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugurel Barascu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petre Gorjanu struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ilie Nenițescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stenea. Ionel Alupoaie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Petre Gorjanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. F.C. Câmpina's Ilie Nenițescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionel Alupoaie in the 73rd minute of play. Petre Gorjanu took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilie Nenițescu. Ilie Nenițescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Ionel Alupoaie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionică Pascaru got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to F.C. Câmpina getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ionică Pascaru hit a great ball. Ionel Alupoaie might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilie Nenițescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ionel Alupoaie ran back to his position shaking his head. If Petre Gorjanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ionel Alupoaie scored 3-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilie Nenițescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Petre Gorjanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Stenea's Ionel Alupoaie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilie Nenițescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Stenea had played much better football throughout.
