Victor Mîțu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusebiu Pârvan having to make a save. If Ioan Caragea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Panfilo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eusebiu Pârvan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Victor Mîțu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebiu Pârvan having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Ioan Caragea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusebiu Pârvan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Agronomul-BTF's Victor Mîțu in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. FC CFR Cluj's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Panfilo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Victor Mîțu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agronomul-BTF's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Mîțu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusebiu Pârvan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Mîțu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Eusebiu Pârvan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Zafiu in the 48th minute of play forced Agronomul-BTF's goalkeeper Ernest Dincă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Mîțu to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC CFR Cluj's zone, Calistrat Martinescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusebiu Pârvan came out of the goal and Calistrat Martinescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Eusebiu Pârvan managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Agronomul-BTF's Victor Mîțu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Agronomul-BTF booed when FC CFR Cluj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Duca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agronomul-BTF's Victor Mîțu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 64th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ernest Dincă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Orescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Mîțu got free with Eusebiu Pârvan in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the match, Victor Mîțu notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of FC CFR Cluj's Eusebiu Pârvan. Eusebiu Pârvan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 90 minutes into the game, Agronomul-BTF's Victor Mîțu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eusebiu Pârvan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Victor Mîțu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Eusebiu Pârvan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The FC CFR Cluj fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Agronomul-BTF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
