Marin Cluceru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Teodor Focșa made a huge save. Aristide Drâmba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dinu Sasu having to make a save. 14 minutes into the match, Petruț Malcoci notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Setu AC's Dinu Sasu. Dinu Sasu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 17 minutes, Marin Cluceru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Setu AC and the FC Velos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Marin Cluceru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petruț Malcoci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, FC Velos's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Constantiniu came free, but Teodor Focșa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Setu AC's goal looked a bit too open when Aristide Drâmba came free, but Dinu Sasu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Frățilă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Dinu Sasu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petruț Malcoci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinu Sasu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Frățilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marin Cluceru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Frățilă struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Dinu Sasu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Velos. Petruț Malcoci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Dinu Sasu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petruț Malcoci made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Setu AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Vaştag to maneuver through the defense. Aristide Drâmba took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dinu Sasu. Dinu Sasu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Petruț Malcoci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dinu Sasu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Marin Cluceru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Teodor Focșa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petruț Malcoci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Sasu having to interfere. If Aurelian Firea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Velos's Robert Frățilă got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliodor Cozmâncă hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Aristide Drâmba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Velos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aristide Drâmba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dinu Sasu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petruț Malcoci in the 80th minute. Dinu Sasu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Drâmba, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Marin Cluceru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Setu AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marin Cluceru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodor Focșa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robert Frățilă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Sasu having to interfere. Petruț Malcoci struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Dinu Sasu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Velos. Aristide Drâmba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeo Constantiniu in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodor Focșa prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
