The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gavril Enășoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th minute, Tudor Zdrelea made a precise shot to the right of Eric Orășan. Jonastii's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tudor Zdrelea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Eric Orășan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iustinian Gheorghiu scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eric Orășan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tudor Zdrelea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute Marian Stroescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corneliu Pandele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fc Rătești's Corneliu Pandele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Stroescu in the 26th minute of play. Iustinian Gheorghiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonastii's Eric Orășan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustinian Gheorghiu in the 42nd minute of play. Iustinian Gheorghiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iustinian Gheorghiu made a kick off. Eric Orășan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustinian Gheorghiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Fc Rătești's Tudor Zdrelea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric Orășan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Tudor Zdrelea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Eric Orășan made a huge save. Fc Rătești's Corneliu Pandele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Stroescu in the 69th minute of play. Tudor Zdrelea succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 74th playminute. Corneliu Pandele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Cârju in the 85th minute of the match. Jonastii's Eric Orășan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Jonastii from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tudor Zdrelea got free with Eric Orășan in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Iustinian Gheorghiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Stroescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Corneliu Pandele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Fc Rătești's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
