Nicu Urdoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Orășan having to interfere. The referee ignored Fc Steaua's protests and gave Manole Vâlcu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fc Steaua getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Manole Vâlcu hit a great ball. Jonastii's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 56th minute of the game, when Ionel Macrea after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Fc Steaua's goal. Ionel Macrea was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. After 58 played minutes Marian Stroescu rounded Fc Steaua's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jonastii's goalkeeper Eric Orășan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Radu Olariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Stroescu in the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Gavril Enășoiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Radu Olariu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 77 minutes into the match, Fc Steaua's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Stroescu came free, but Radu Olariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grigore Opriș in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Orășan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute Marian Stroescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Olariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Steaua's zone, Marian Stroescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radu Olariu came out of the goal and Marian Stroescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
