Dorel Oravițan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Tunaru having to interfere. Gabriel Tunaru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dumitru Gârneață's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. In the 10th match minute, Steluta Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustin Neguțu to maneuver through the defense. Iacob Ortacu struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Gabriel Tunaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steluta Juniors. FC Chimindia's Gabriel Tunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Gârneață in the 24th minute of play. Iosif Poplăcean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Spoială having to interfere. Iosif Poplăcean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nistor Spoială tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When FC Chimindia's Matei Chevereșan in 30 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Nistor Spoială guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a rather tough play, FC Chimindia's Petre Fința got a free kick in the 35th minute. When Dumitru Gârneață came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Steluta Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dumitru Gârneață couldn't finish the play. Gabriel Tunaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Gârneață in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Iosif Poplăcean dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nistor Spoială, 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dumitru Gârneață made a kick off. Gabriel Tunaru made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Iacob Ortacu sent off a good shot on target. Dumitru Gârneață fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Tunaru having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game Dumitru Gârneață who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Chimindia's Gabriel Tunaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dacian Horodincă hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Steluta Juniors's Dumitru Gârneață in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Chimindia's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Poplăcean in the 72nd minute of play forced Steluta Juniors's goalkeeper Nistor Spoială to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dumitru Gârneață received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gabriel Tunaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dumitru Gârneață had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Iacob Ortacu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Gabriel Tunaru made a huge save. Gabriel Tunaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Gârneață in the 82nd minute of play. With a little luck, FC Chimindia's Gabriel Tunaru got control of the ball when Iacob Ortacu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gabriel Tunaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Gârneață, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Dumitru Gârneață had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Iacob Ortacu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steluta Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Iacob Ortacu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Tunaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 94 minutes, Dumitru Gârneață managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steluta Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dumitru Gârneață was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had been going on for 97 minutes, Steluta Juniors's Fabian Hârciog got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gabriel Tunaru. The FC Chimindia players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
