Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jonastii's Marian Stroescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Iacob Ortacu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eric Orășan. Jonastii's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iacob Ortacu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Iacob Ortacu came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Steluta Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iacob Ortacu couldn't finish the play. Dumitru Gârneață's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eric Orășan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, Steluta Juniors's Iacob Ortacu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eric Orășan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eric Orășan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Gârneață, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iacob Ortacu struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Eric Orășan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steluta Juniors. Dumitru Gârneață fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Orășan having to interfere. If Iacob Ortacu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Marian Stroescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dumitru Gârneață made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Iacob Ortacu put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Eric Orășan. In the 60th match minute, Steluta Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Gâfu to maneuver through the defense. Eric Orășan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Gârneață in the 62nd minute of the match. Iacob Ortacu succeeded in the game's 64th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Dumitru Gârneață fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Orășan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jonastii's zone, Iustin Neguțu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Orășan came out of the goal and Iustin Neguțu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute Dumitru Gârneață shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Orășan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nistor Spoială made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavril Enășoiu in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jonastii's goalkeeper Eric Orășan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iacob Ortacu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Eric Orășan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Andrei Horia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jonastii's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steluta Juniors the free kick. 92 minutes into the game, one of Jonastii:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 96 minutes, Iurie Minea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Steluta Juniors and the Jonastii players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Steluta Juniors's Iurie Minea got a free kick in the 97th minute.
