Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Marian Stroescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Penes's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Stroescu came free, but Pavel Cârnațiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eric Orășan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Seremet in the 5th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Jonastii's Gavril Enășoiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavel Cârnațiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pavel Cârnațiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Stroescu in the 15th minute of play. Eric Orășan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dacian Seremet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Jonastii's goalkeeper Eric Orășan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudiu Griguță. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Seremet in the 26th minute of play forced Jonastii's goalkeeper Eric Orășan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dacian Seremet received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eric Orășan came out and tried to block the shot, but Dacian Seremet slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. Gavril Enășoiu struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Pavel Cârnațiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jonastii. If Claudiu Griguță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Penes's Luca Ponta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eric Orășan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marian Stroescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 48th minute Marian Stroescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Cârnațiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dacian Seremet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudiu Griguță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Eric Orășan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Claudiu Griguță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudiu Griguță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Penes's Dacian Seremet got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gavril Enășoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Cârnațiu having to interfere. In the 79th minute Marian Stroescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Cârnațiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavril Enășoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pavel Cârnațiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Stroescu in the 82nd minute of play. Gavril Enășoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Cârnațiu having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Penes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petruț Georgescu to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codruț Cârju during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Jonastii getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Codruț Cârju hit a great ball. Dacian Seremet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Orășan having to interfere.
