Francisc Pantelimon came free in the 57th minute and tried to tip the ball over Eric Orășan, but to the joy of Jonastii's supporters the ball went over. 60 minutes into the match, Covasna's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Stroescu came free, but Robert Filimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavril Enășoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Filimon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. When Ionel Zoreanu came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Covasna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Zoreanu couldn't finish the play. A sloppy throw-in by Alin Cămătaru in the 96th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Covasna's Olimpiu Ciobanu. Robert Filimon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavril Enășoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute.
