After having played for 36 minutes, Costică Mudura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AS Roma Braila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costică Mudura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute Costică Mudura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Onitiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petre Onitiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandu Chiriacescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Petran was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandu Chiriacescu got free with Petre Onitiu in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 57 minutes, Mihăiţă Ungureanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AS Roma Braila and the Ofsenita CSS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute, Mihăiţă Ungureanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gabriel Petran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The long shot by Leonard Dichiseanu in the 85th minute really tested Petre Onitiu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 86 minutes into the match, AS Roma Braila's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoş Moiș came free, but Petru Todericiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Petre Onitiu managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when AS Roma Braila's Costică Mudura fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Costică Mudura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AS Roma Braila's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ofsenita CSS had won, even though AS Roma Braila had held more of the ball.
