Fc Rapid Bucuresti's Luca Papaiani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Reznic in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Reznic in the 9th minute of play forced Fc Rapid Bucuresti's goalkeeper Luca Papaiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Adam Reznic fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gergelygeza's protests and gave Adam Reznic a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gergelygeza getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Adam Reznic hit a great ball. Valentin Gorcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uno Brogren in the 14th minute of the match. Valentin Gorcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Șerban Roşca in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Sergiu Mihalcea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentin Gorcea was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luca Papaiani was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ionel Pantilimon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. Valentin Gorcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Șerban Roşca in the 29th minute of play. Gergelygeza's Bogdan Barbă got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Uno Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Gorcea came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Rapid Bucuresti's Mihnea Dragomiroiu. But to his dismay, Mihnea Dragomiroiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A collision led to Fc Rapid Bucuresti getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Mugur Robu hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Bogdan Barbă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gergelygeza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Gergelygeza's Bogdan Barbă was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 46th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

If Sergiu Mihalcea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uno Brogren got free with Valentin Gorcea in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luca Papaiani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Reznic, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Luca Papaiani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Reznic in the 66th minute of the match. Luca Papaiani came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Gergelygeza's Bogdan Barbă. But to his dismay, Bogdan Barbă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Valentin Gorcea made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Șerban Roşca sent off a good shot on target. Valentin Gorcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Șerban Roşca in the 72nd minute of the match. After 74 minutes of play, Gergelygeza's Adam Reznic made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luca Papaiani was left in no man's land by his defense there! Uno Brogren took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Gorcea. Valentin Gorcea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. 81 minutes into the match, Fc Rapid Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Barbă came free, but Luca Papaiani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fc Rapid Bucuresti were furious when Mihnea Dragomiroiu was red carded, 84 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Șerban Roşca was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Gergelygeza's zone, Șerban Roşca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Gorcea came out of the goal and Șerban Roşca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
