When the match had been going on for 30 minutes, Sepsi OSK's Iacob Dabija got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ionel Maghear. UFC Piluganii's attentive Horea Udroiu managed to snatch the ball when Vali Muntean made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Vali Muntean in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by UFC Piluganii's Horea Udroiu. In the 37th minute of the match, Eduard Pânzaru tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ionel Maghear saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The wind increased when Valeriu Anastasiu made the kick off in the second half.
