Spectators: 6764 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 0) Lucrețiu Meleșcanu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Zlasteni FCM getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Cezar Bacanu hit a great ball. The supporters of Zlasteni FCM booed when UFC Piluganii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucrețiu Meleșcanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Zlasteni FCM's Sergiu Bobeica got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th match minute, Zlasteni FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergiu Bobeica to maneuver through the defense. Ionel Maghear made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Sergiu Bobeica sent off a good shot on target. Emil Baniciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriu Anastasiu in the 22nd minute of the match. If Valeriu Anastasiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Valeriu Anastasiu came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the UFC Piluganii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valeriu Anastasiu couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, UFC Piluganii's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Bacanu came free, but Ionel Maghear reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40thth minute of the game Lucrețiu Meleșcanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zlasteni FCM's Emil Baniciu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Zlasteni FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Anastasiu came free, but Emil Baniciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horea Udroiu hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cezar Bacanu was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cezar Bacanu in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionel Maghear prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valeriu Anastasiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Emil Baniciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Zlasteni FCM getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Rareș Crețulescu hit a great ball. Sergiu Bobeica kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Emil Baniciu made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Lucrețiu Meleșcanu sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute Valeriu Anastasiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Baniciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezar Bacanu in the 63rd minute of play forced UFC Piluganii's goalkeeper Ionel Maghear to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucrețiu Meleșcanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Baniciu having to interfere. Valeriu Anastasiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ionel Maghear made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Budac in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to UFC Piluganii getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Valer Buhăescu hit a great ball. Ionel Maghear made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Budac in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Valer Buhăescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UFC Piluganii's Ionel Maghear played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Pașcalău in the 90th minute of play. If Valeriu Anastasiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 96 minutes, Ştefan Budac managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zlasteni FCM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ştefan Budac was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the UFC Piluganii players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
