The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pana Rama hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After 7 played minutes Sepsi OSK got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Obregia. In the 8th minute, Adam Reznic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enrico Giammarino's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Valentin Gorcea firmly grabbed it by the left post. 15 minutes into the game, Ionel Pantilimon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gergelygeza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sepsi OSK the free kick. Arngils Margrímsson kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Valentin Gorcea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Pânzaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Valentin Gorcea was a little too slow when Enrico Giammarino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 2-0. Valentin Gorcea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Pânzaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Gergelygeza's goal looked a bit too open when Iacob Dabija came free, but Valentin Gorcea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrico Giammarino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Gorcea having to make a save. In the 38th minute Iacob Dabija shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Gorcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 minutes of play Gergelygeza's Ionel Pantilimon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Gergelygeza's Ionel Pantilimon got a free kick in the 41st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduard Pânzaru got free with Valentin Gorcea in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valentin Gorcea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iacob Dabija showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 48 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bogdan Barbă to make the kick off. Valentin Gorcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Dabija in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Adam Reznic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Gergelygeza's Bogdan Barbă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Răzvan Crăiță narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pana Rama took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Gorcea. Valentin Gorcea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Nistor Tudorache hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Pana Rama notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Gergelygeza's Valentin Gorcea. Valentin Gorcea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valentin Gorcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Dabija in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Pânzaru in the 73rd minute of play forced Gergelygeza's goalkeeper Valentin Gorcea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam Reznic was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Gergelygeza's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 78 played minutes Sepsi OSK got a freekick which was hit by Pana Rama. Iacob Dabija took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Gorcea. Valentin Gorcea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After a defensive mix-up in Gergelygeza's zone, Enrico Giammarino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Gorcea came out of the goal and Enrico Giammarino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bogdan Barbă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sepsi OSK booed when Gergelygeza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Pantea didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iacob Dabija in the 93rd minute of play forced Gergelygeza's goalkeeper Valentin Gorcea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Gergelygeza's goal looked a bit too open when Iacob Dabija came free, but Valentin Gorcea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pana Rama's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Gorcea was relentless in the 99th minute of the game.
