The tension between the Sepsi OSK and the Varangienii players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arngils Margrímsson kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Sepsi OSK's Flavius Zgaroi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Hristea in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Varangienii getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ciprian Dacian hit a great ball. In the 14th match minute, Sepsi OSK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinu Pelin to maneuver through the defense. Saul Lauren hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinu Pelin during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With an all-out effort, Sepsi OSK's Edgar Mititelu threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dinu Pelin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nicu Joldea charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicu Joldea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Varangienii's Nicu Joldea got a free kick in the 26th minute. The audience was convinced that Pavel Hristea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavius Zgaroi was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 37th minute Pavel Hristea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavius Zgaroi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sepsi OSK's zone, Pavel Hristea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavius Zgaroi came out of the goal and Pavel Hristea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Pânzaru in the 59th minute of play forced Varangienii's goalkeeper Edgar Mititelu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Mititelu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrico Giammarino, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Varangienii's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Pânzaru came free, but Edgar Mititelu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavel Hristea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edgar Mititelu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinu Pelin in the 66th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Damian Hurgoi made a precise shot to the right of Edgar Mititelu. Varangienii's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The Varangienii fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Mititelu should have stopped the shot. Dinu Pelin scored 5-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgar Mititelu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 95 played minutes Varangienii got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Popescu. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sepsi OSK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Varangienii had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
