The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manole Gheondea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicu Dobre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Horea Marchidan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sabin Isărescu. Cismanesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horea Marchidan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 15 minutes into the game, Cismanesti's Damian Țepelea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicu Dobre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Iustin Halipa struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Nicu Dobre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cismanesti. Barboi's Nicu Dobre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Barboi from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute, Horea Marchidan made a precise shot to the right of Sabin Isărescu. Cismanesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 26th minute of the match, Damian Țepelea got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nicu Dobre was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sabin Isărescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Marchidan in the 29th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Horea Marchidan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sabin Isărescu. When Horea Marchidan came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Barboi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horea Marchidan couldn't finish the play. Nicu Dobre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Halipa, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Halipa in the 65th minute of play forced Barboi's goalkeeper Nicu Dobre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iustin Halipa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Dobre having to interfere. A collision led to Barboi getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Codruț Gaiță hit a great ball. When Damian Țepelea came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Cismanesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Țepelea couldn't finish the play. Nicu Dobre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iustin Halipa's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Sabin Isărescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horea Marchidan in the 80th minute. Nicu Dobre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Halipa in the 86th minute of play. Damian Țepelea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Dobre having to interfere. Iustin Halipa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
