Spectators: 7762 (Terracing: 5823, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cazimir Zglimbea kicked off to start the match. Gelu Grama made in the 5th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's Sandu Ulici. With his leg Cornel Filimon managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Delta Tulcea's Cazimir Zglimbea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nae Hârțan in the 9th minute of play forced Delta Tulcea's goalkeeper Ioan Stratulat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Albert Stegaru in the 10th minute. In the 14th minute, Ramon Lombera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA booed when Delta Tulcea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toader Melentie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nae Hârțan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ioan Stratulat having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramon Lombera in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ioan Stratulat saved Delta Tulcea from getting behind. 32 minutes into the game, Nae Hârțan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ioan Stratulat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the game, Emilian Ţugui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Delta Tulcea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA the free kick. Ioan Stratulat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Lombera, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Nae Hârțan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramon Lombera to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Nae Hârțan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Delta Tulcea's zone, Ramon Lombera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ioan Stratulat came out of the goal and Ramon Lombera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ioan Stratulat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nae Hârțan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramon Lombera took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ioan Stratulat. Ioan Stratulat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Ramon Lombera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Nae Hârțan took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Ioan Stratulat to make any attempt to save it. 74 minutes into the match, Delta Tulcea's goalkeeper Ioan Stratulat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramon Lombera. 74 minutes into the game, Ramon Lombera recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ioan Stratulat. Ramon Lombera showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. In the 77th minute, CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA's Nae Hârțan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ioan Stratulat. Ioan Stratulat yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Ramon Lombera sped through Delta Tulcea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ioan Stratulat. Ramon Lombera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nae Hârțan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded CS UNIVERSATEA CRAIOVA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Delta Tulcea.
