Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Uliesul's Nicolae Şania started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gheorghe Câmpeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 9 minutes, Nicolae Şania mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uliesul and the Licuriciu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicolae Şania kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Uliesul's zone, Irinel Staicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Veiga came out of the goal and Irinel Staicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Licuriciu's Valentin Ghiondea shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 14th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fábio Veiga but with some difficulty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gheorghe Câmpeanu got free with Fábio Veiga in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Uliesul's Fábio Veiga got control of the ball when Irinel Staicu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Ghiondea during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Licuriciu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Uliesul a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vaios Anagnostakis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Licuriciu's Horaţiu Oravițan. 0-1. In the 27th minute, one of Uliesul:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Uliesul. The goalkeeper, Fábio Veiga, was totally fooled by Licuriciu's Valentin Ghiondea, who 29 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Irinel Staicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Fábio Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remus Lăzan in the 37th minute of play forced Uliesul's goalkeeper Fábio Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Irinel Staicu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fábio Veiga was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 62nd minute, Irinel Staicu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Licuriciu's Valentin Ghiondea couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Uliesul. Irinel Staicu might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fábio Veiga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Irinel Staicu ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the match, Uliesul's goal looked a bit too open when Irinel Staicu came free, but Fábio Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Nicolae Şania hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes, Licuriciu's Valentin Ghiondea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fábio Veiga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Licuriciu reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Uliesul's zone, Irinel Staicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After a rather tough play, Uliesul's Eliodor Balaban got a free kick in the 80th minute. Irinel Staicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Veiga having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Irinel Staicu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Licuriciu's Horaţiu Oravițan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Bala in the 92nd minute of play. If Irinel Staicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugen Grozuță struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Fábio Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Licuriciu. Fábio Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irinel Staicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. There was no doubt that Licuriciu were the better team. Licuriciu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
