In the 4th minute, Tiberiu Eftimiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabin Măcriș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Aristide Alexiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aristide Alexiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petre Stoicănescu went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 21 minutes, Sabin Măcriș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samsud's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabin Măcriș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Delta Tulcea defense, Sabin Măcriș kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aristide Alexiu. The Delta Tulcea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aristide Alexiu should have stopped the shot. Cazimir Zglimbea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Liviu Gâgea skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Sabin Măcriș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samsud's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabin Măcriș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sabin Măcriș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Liviu Benga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samsud's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delta Tulcea the free kick. Liviu Benga hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Samsud's Liviu Gâgea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Samsud from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the match, Cazimir Zglimbea notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Samsud's Liviu Gâgea. Liviu Gâgea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Liviu Gâgea came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Delta Tulcea's Cazimir Zglimbea. But to his dismay, Cazimir Zglimbea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sabin Măcriș made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cazimir Zglimbea in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Liviu Gâgea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petre Stoicănescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aristide Alexiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Samsud booed when Delta Tulcea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiberiu Eftimiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Marius Grigore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Samsud's Petre Stoicănescu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Liviu Gâgea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Ţugui in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Emilian Ţugui made a precise shot to the right of Liviu Gâgea. Samsud's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 67th minute, Costin Paulescu made a precise shot to the right of Liviu Gâgea. Samsud's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. If Costin Paulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samsud's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cazimir Zglimbea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Aristide Alexiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabin Măcriș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liviu Gâgea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Paulescu in the 88th minute of the match. Delta Tulcea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petrică Ailenei in the 90th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Cazimir Zglimbea notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Samsud's Liviu Gâgea. Liviu Gâgea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 95th minute Emilian Ţugui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liviu Gâgea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 minutes, Dacian Toma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samsud and the Delta Tulcea players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Dacian Toma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Samsud players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Delta Tulcea.
