Spectators: 7370 (Terracing: 5770, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Constantin Lupașcu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Mircea Udroiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantin Lupașcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gigi Săvoiu hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Calistrat Stănciulaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gigi Săvoiu in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costică Anghel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Costică Anghel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grigore Năsturel's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Cristinel Moșneanu's late challenge caught a GSBC Cluj-Napoca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristinel Moșneanu helped the player get up and apologised. Cristinel Moșneanu kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Constantin Lupașcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Udroiu having to interfere. The supporters of Bikszad booed when GSBC Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Buciuman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grigore Năsturel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Costică Anghel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Bikszad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Moșneanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Calistrat Stănciulaş ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Costică Anghel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 45th minute, Valentin Hidiș left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GSBC Cluj-Napoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Grigore Năsturel took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Costică Anghel. Costică Anghel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. When Grigore Năsturel came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the GSBC Cluj-Napoca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grigore Năsturel couldn't finish the play. Grigore Năsturel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Bikszad defense, Grigore Năsturel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Costică Anghel. The Bikszad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Costică Anghel should have stopped the shot. Grigore Năsturel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Costică Anghel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costel Honcioiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Udroiu having to interfere. In the 84th minute of the match Aron Zafiu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mircea Udroiu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Bikszad booed when GSBC Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavius Baniu didn't get a good kick on the ball. GSBC Cluj-Napoca played a much better game than Bikszad and deserved their victory. The Bikszad players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
