Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cazimir Zglimbea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horaţiu Oravițan having to make a save. Aristide Alexiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Lăzan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horaţiu Oravițan came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Delta Tulcea's Costin Paulescu. But to his dismay, Costin Paulescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A hard shot 14 in the game by Irinel Staicu from a close distance when the talented Aristide Alexiu managed to make a qualified save. Delta Tulcea's players were relieved. Aristide Alexiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Grozuță in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cazimir Zglimbea in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horaţiu Oravițan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute Irinel Staicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristide Alexiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Delta Tulcea's Cazimir Zglimbea got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Horaţiu Oravițan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Ţugui in the 35th minute of play. Horaţiu Oravițan came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Delta Tulcea's Cazimir Zglimbea. But to his dismay, Cazimir Zglimbea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Irinel Staicu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Delta Tulcea's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Grozuță came free, but Aristide Alexiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Delta Tulcea's zone, Irinel Staicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristide Alexiu came out of the goal and Irinel Staicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Irinel Staicu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Costin Paulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Delta Tulcea getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Costin Paulescu hit a great ball. Horaţiu Oravițan made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Cazimir Zglimbea sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Cazimir Zglimbea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horaţiu Oravițan was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Aristide Alexiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Staicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costin Paulescu got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 74 played minutes Delta Tulcea got a freekick which was hit by Costin Paulescu. Delta Tulcea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Petrică Ailenei in the 80th minute. The corner ended in Petrică Ailenei almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Licuriciu's Horaţiu Oravițan did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Valentin Ghiondea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Licuriciu's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Ghiondea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aristide Alexiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the match, Delta Tulcea's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Câmpeanu came free, but Aristide Alexiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delta Tulcea's Aristide Alexiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Grozuță in the 89th minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Delta Tulcea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Ţugui to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Ghiondea hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the game, Emilian Ţugui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Delta Tulcea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Licuriciu the free kick. The supporters of Licuriciu booed when Delta Tulcea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilian Ţugui didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute, Irinel Staicu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aristide Alexiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Licuriciu lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
