Spectators: 7741 (Terracing: 5807, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Grigore Năsturel kicked off to start the match. The crowd rose to their feet as GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Gigi Săvoiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Petru Creteanu. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. In the 8th minute Gigi Săvoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petru Creteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Grigore Năsturel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Petru Creteanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigi Săvoiu in the 19th minute. Dan Frățilă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petru Creteanu having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gigi Săvoiu in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petru Creteanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute Valentin Hidiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petru Creteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Valentin Hidiș dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Petru Creteanu, 2-0. Dan Frățilă was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. GSBC Cluj-Napoca's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Iordache Buciuman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Mircea Udroiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Demsus's Petru Creteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calistrat Stănciulaş in the 35th minute of play. Marin Buciuman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Petru Creteanu came out and tried to block the shot, but Marin Buciuman slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grigore Năsturel got free with Petru Creteanu in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Petru Creteanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gigi Săvoiu went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 48 minutes into the match, Demsus's goalkeeper Petru Creteanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Hidiș.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mihai Râznicu made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Demsus's Mihai Râznicu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mircea Udroiu. Mircea Udroiu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Petru Creteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Săvoiu in the 56th minute of play. Albert Dășanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 minutes, Flavius Baniu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GSBC Cluj-Napoca and the Demsus players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Gigi Săvoiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GSBC Cluj-Napoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. After a rather tough play, GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Grigore Năsturel got a free kick in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Frățilă in the 74th minute of play forced Demsus's goalkeeper Petru Creteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Mihai Râznicu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Dumitru Barbăsură got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Mihai Râznicu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Mircea Udroiu didn't even have to move. In the 86th minute, Grigore Năsturel made a precise shot to the right of Petru Creteanu. Demsus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Grigore Năsturel struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Petru Creteanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GSBC Cluj-Napoca. When Iordache Buciuman came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Demsus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iordache Buciuman couldn't finish the play. Demsus's Petru Creteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Hidiș in the 97th minute of play. GSBC Cluj-Napoca's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
