Delta Tulcea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calistrat Stănciulaş was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 14th minute, Gigi Săvoiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aristide Alexiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cazimir Zglimbea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mircea Udroiu having to make a save. Gigi Săvoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristide Alexiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Frățilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30thth minute of the game Cazimir Zglimbea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Mircea Udroiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute, Cazimir Zglimbea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mircea Udroiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cazimir Zglimbea went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Mircea Udroiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costin Paulescu in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, GSBC Cluj-Napoca's Dumitru Barbăsură got a free kick in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cazimir Zglimbea during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calistrat Stănciulaş in the 68th minute of play forced Delta Tulcea's goalkeeper Aristide Alexiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Valentin Hidiș reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aristide Alexiu. The goal made the score 1-4. GSBC Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delta Tulcea the free kick. In the 91st minute, Dumitru Barbăsură hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The GSBC Cluj-Napoca players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
