Theo Wagner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Mateescu in the 20th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, FC Pirciu's goalkeeper Theo Wagner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costel Mateescu. If Ion Popoacă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, FC Pirciu's Pavel De Bruyne got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Costel Mateescu to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ion Popoacă got free with Ionel Hurezeanu in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vintilă Zegreanu scored 1-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ionel Hurezeanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. YR☆ FCSB's Ionel Hurezeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save YR☆ FCSB from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute Costel Mateescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Wagner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vintilă Zegreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Costel Mateescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Theo Wagner. FC Pirciu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Costel Mateescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 91st minute Ivan Dragnea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Wagner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ion Popoacă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ionel Hurezeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, YR☆ FCSB's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vintilă Zegreanu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
