The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gică Alexandru in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Traian Doicaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gică Alexandru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Petru Drâmba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Bran took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Traian Doicaru. Traian Doicaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Gică Alexandru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Traian Doicaru having to make a save. Mihai Savu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Bran might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Traian Doicaru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Bran ran back to his position shaking his head. Gică Alexandru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Martin Bran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Bran struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Traian Doicaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LEGIO XIII GEMINA.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ovidiu Lazăr was the one to do the kick off. Traian Doicaru came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by LEGIO XIII GEMINA's Gică Alexandru. But to his dismay, Gică Alexandru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 56 played minutes, LEGIO XIII GEMINA's Valer Tonegaru shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Traian Doicaru came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LEGIO XIII GEMINA reached it. Martin Bran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Traian Doicaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Traian Doicaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Alexandru in the 60th minute of play. Martin Bran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Martin Bran came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the LEGIO XIII GEMINA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Bran couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Ponor during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Valentin Ponor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 4-0 became the score in the 77th minute when Gică Alexandru elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Maxim Nuțu's late challenge caught a LEGIO XIII GEMINA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Traian Doicaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Thanks to some nice moves Petru Drâmba could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Florin Bouleanu however easily saved by the left post. Mihai Savu's late challenge caught a Sinandrei CS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihai Savu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to LEGIO XIII GEMINA getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Mihai Savu hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. LEGIO XIII GEMINA fully deserved thier win.
