AFC Napoca's attentive Tiberiu Muntian managed to snatch the ball when Stelian Tăcutu made a throw-in in the 26th minute of the game. Isac Rogoz hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With his leg Eliodor Voica managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when AFC Napoca's Doru Burtescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 53 minutes into the match, AFC Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Irinel Nediu came free, but Mircea Mitulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mircea Mitulescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicu Remus went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.
