Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) Chiraftei CS's Mugur Lăzan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Chiraftei CS booed when Polovragi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 18 minutes, Cristi Comșa made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Chiraftei CS's Narcis Onete tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Narcis Onete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mădălin Buznea in the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Polovragi's goalkeeper Sever Vieru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flavius Iordan. Mugur Lăzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Sever Vieru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristi Comșa to make the kick off. Mădălin Buznea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narcis Onete read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Polovragi's Sever Vieru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Lăzan in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavius Iordan in the 58th minute of play forced Polovragi's goalkeeper Sever Vieru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes Polovragi got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Zbârlea. Mădălin Buznea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Narcis Onete when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 88th minute Aurelian Ionașcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Onete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Chiraftei CS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aurelian Ionașcu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 94th minute, Flavius Iordan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chiraftei CS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chiraftei CS had won after a very even match.
