Radu Panaite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Ciolofan having to interfere. If David Guriță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by David Guriță got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, -PSC- Borea AFC's Valer Ciolofan got control of the ball when Radu Panaite tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Radu Panaite recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valer Ciolofan. Radu Panaite showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. David Guriță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Guriță blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valer Ciolofan having to make a save. 25 minutes into the match, Steaua Bucuresti's David Guriță sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valer Ciolofan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Radu Panaite came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Steaua Bucuresti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radu Panaite couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Radu Panaite kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valer Ciolofan. That made the score 4-0 in the 27 minute of play. Valer Ciolofan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basarab Neicu in the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 played minutes -PSC- Borea AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Ţirpescu. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Basarab Neicu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steaua Bucuresti's supporters rose to their feet, but Basarab Neicu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valer Ciolofan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Valer Ciolofan managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Steaua Bucuresti's Radu Panaite fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. David Guriță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Ciolofan having to interfere. Sever Chelaru took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valer Ciolofan. Valer Ciolofan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 44th minute Sever Chelaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Ciolofan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Guriță might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valer Ciolofan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Guriță ran back to his position shaking his head. When Sever Chelaru came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Steaua Bucuresti fans jumped to their feet. David Guriță scored 8-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valer Ciolofan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Basarab Neicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steaua Bucuresti's Radu Panaite got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Guriță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Steaua Bucuresti were the better team. Steaua Bucuresti's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
