Horaţiu Trif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Valer Ciolofan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in -PSC- Borea AFC's zone, Alin Dinescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valer Ciolofan came out of the goal and Alin Dinescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Octavian Blajovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Octavian Blajovan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Valer Ciolofan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Academia M.Balan's Alin Dinescu in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye -PSC- Borea AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Academia M.Balan booed when -PSC- Borea AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nichifor Ţirpescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alin Dinescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Ciolofan having to interfere. Aristide Caranfil's late challenge caught a Academia M.Balan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristide Caranfil helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, -PSC- Borea AFC's Aristide Caranfil got a free kick in the 37th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Academia M.Balan's Narcis Ipătescu tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Horaţiu Trif might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valer Ciolofan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horaţiu Trif ran back to his position shaking his head. Valer Ciolofan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alin Dinescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alin Dinescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind -PSC- Borea AFC's goalkeeper Valer Ciolofan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damian Ţîrlea made a kick off. Horaţiu Trif recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damian Ţîrlea's late challenge caught a Academia M.Balan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Ţîrlea helped the player get up and apologised. Damian Ţîrlea kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. During the 61st minute of the match Damian Ţîrlea completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Damian Ţîrlea a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, -PSC- Borea AFC's Damian Ţîrlea got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Alin Dinescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Valer Ciolofan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Academia M.Balan's Valer Ciolofan threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alin Dinescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Horaţiu Trif's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Valer Ciolofan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alin Dinescu struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Valer Ciolofan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia M.Balan. Valer Ciolofan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Dinescu in the 83rd minute of the match. The supporters of Academia M.Balan booed when -PSC- Borea AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narcis Barbosu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alin Dinescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. -PSC- Borea AFC's Valer Ciolofan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Dinescu in the 94th minute of play. After some careless play in the -PSC- Borea AFC defense, Horaţiu Trif kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valer Ciolofan. The -PSC- Borea AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valer Ciolofan should have stopped the shot.
