Spectators: 7030 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 30) Leontin Condescu made the kick off and thus started the match. The audience was convinced that Leontin Condescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gigel Zgaroi was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. The supporters of CSMS Iaşi booed when Ticul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugur Ţirpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leontin Condescu struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Gigel Zgaroi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSMS Iaşi. Ernest Târlea's late challenge caught a CSMS Iaşi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernest Târlea helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Ticul got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Târlea. The crowd rose to their feet as Ticul's Sergiu Balc slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Petru Nandriș. That made the score 1-0 after 31 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, CSMS Iaşi's Mircea Chelaru got a free kick in the 40th minute. After 47 played minutes CSMS Iaşi got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Condescu.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sergiu Balc was the one to do the kick off. When Ticul's Sergiu Balc in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CSMS Iaşi's goalie prevented a goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leontin Condescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gigel Zgaroi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petru Nandriș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergiu Balc's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. CSMS Iaşi's Petru Nandriș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Balc in the 81st minute of play. If Sergiu Balc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute Sergiu Balc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petru Nandriș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 90th minute of the match Mugur Ţirpe completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mugur Ţirpe a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Ticul's Mugur Ţirpe got a free kick in the 91st minute.
