Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) OLD SCHOOL's Nicodim Mărculescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Nicodim Mărculescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gică Cârnațiu. Herla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicodim Mărculescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Răzvan Decuseară sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vintilă Barna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Răzvan Decuseară in the 9th minute of play. Gică Cârnațiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicodim Mărculescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calistrat Bordeanu during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Herla's Calistrat Bordeanu got a free kick in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Răzvan Decuseară managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herla's supporters rose to their feet, but Răzvan Decuseară was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vintilă Barna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gică Cârnațiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Mărculescu in the 22nd minute of play. Mihăiţă Brezeanu hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Răzvan Decuseară received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Vintilă Barna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vintilă Barna made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Răzvan Decuseară sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, OLD SCHOOL's Vintilă Barna got control of the ball when Calistrat Bordeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of OLD SCHOOL booed when Herla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Bocaneț didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gică Cârnațiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Baldu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute of the match OLD SCHOOL got a corner. Herla's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Horea Demian ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Horea Demian got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gică Cârnațiu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Nicodim Mărculescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gică Cârnațiu was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 69th minute, Dumitru Boeru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Herla supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching OLD SCHOOL's performance. The match ended with a win for OLD SCHOOL.
