Barbucea's supporters rose to their feet, but Mădălin Barbu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Vergulescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mădălin Barbu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Vergulescu having to interfere. Remus Ardelean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Popeneciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Moise Cutieru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Remus Ardelean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Octav Popeneciu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mădălin Barbu was the one to do the kick off. Albert Moldovan made in the 76th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luca Olteanu. The supporters of Barbucea booed when Deyanhur Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Rogozea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deyanhur Timisoara's zone, Mădălin Barbu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Vergulescu came out of the goal and Mădălin Barbu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deyanhur Timisoara's Robert Rogozea quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Albert Moldovan, made in the 88th minute of the game. Mădălin Barbu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Marcel Vergulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barbucea's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
