Iacob Mironescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Patrichi in the 65th minute of the match. If Ilie Zdrelea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 70 minutes, Vasile Ogică managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Squad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasile Ogică was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Pavel Smarandache came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Zgaroesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pavel Smarandache couldn't finish the play. Laurențiu Patrichi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Iacob Mironescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Costin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nicolae Petrin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Laurențiu Patrichi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Ilie Zdrelea notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of The Squad's Iacob Mironescu. Iacob Mironescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zgaroesti's Nicolae Petrin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silviu Dulfu in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Zgaroesti had played much better football throughout.
