After a defensive mix-up in Bobotesti AFC's zone, Cornel Nanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinu Pânzaru came out of the goal and Cornel Nanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Perchiu CF's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Tăbăcaru came free, but Nicodim Robu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ionuț Comăneci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bobotesti AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Marius Madgearu hit a great ball. If Cornel Nanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 minutes, Răzvan Bordeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perchiu CF and the Bobotesti AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Perchiu CF's Răzvan Bordeanu got a free kick in the 40th minute. When Cornel Nanu came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Perchiu CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cornel Nanu couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Horaţiu Anastasiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Pânzaru having to interfere. Liviu Chițu kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Mirciu in the 69th minute of play forced Perchiu CF's goalkeeper Nicodim Robu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicodim Robu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Tănăsocă, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Dinu Pânzaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horaţiu Anastasiu in the 73rd minute. Bobotesti AFC's Dinu Pânzaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Anastasiu in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Benjamin Onbera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
