Spectators: 7154 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Costel Şuplăcan started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Petru Deșliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodor Budișteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxim Lovinescu charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maxim Lovinescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cujmiru's Călin Muja got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Petru Deșliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Cujmiru's Petru Deșliu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodor Budișteanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29thth minute of the game Costel Şuplăcan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racul's Teodor Budișteanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute Petru Deșliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodor Budișteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 minutes, Costel Şuplăcan made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Racul's Teodor Budișteanu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodor Budișteanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costel Şuplăcan's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costel Şuplăcan in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodor Budișteanu saved Racul from getting behind. Calistrat Găvan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodor Budișteanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Teodor Budișteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Şuplăcan in the 40th minute of play. When Cujmiru's Costel Şuplăcan in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Racul's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Petru Deșliu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cujmiru's supporters rose to their feet, but Petru Deșliu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodor Budișteanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Călin Calciu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Costel Şuplăcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodor Budișteanu having to interfere. In the 58th minute Costel Şuplăcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodor Budișteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Costel Şuplăcan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Teodor Budișteanu, 0-3. Augustin Zgaroi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Călin Calciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costel Şuplăcan struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Teodor Budișteanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cujmiru. Călin Calciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Racul's Teodor Budișteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costel Şuplăcan in the 82nd minute of play. Adrian Bacalu's late challenge caught a Cujmiru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Bacalu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, Adrian Bacalu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Racul's goal looked a bit too open when Costel Şuplăcan came free, but Teodor Budișteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cujmiru booed when Racul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Munteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costel Şuplăcan spun around in front of the goal 88 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Racul's goal. After a rather tough play, Racul's Daniel Stamate got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute of the match Călin Muja shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teodor Budișteanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
