Racul's Teodor Budișteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Halipa in the 16th minute of play. Dorel Mustățea made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Dorin Munteanu sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th match minute, Sustorog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionel Dragoș to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Victor Harnagea sped through Racul's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Teodor Budișteanu. Racul's Teodor Budișteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Halipa in the 25th minute of play. Teodor Budișteanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florin Halipa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th match minute, Racul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorin Munteanu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Sustorog booed when Racul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Munteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ionel Dragoș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodor Budișteanu was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. The tension between the Racul and the Sustorog players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Racul getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Toader Enășoiu hit a great ball. Sustorog's Victor Harnagea was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Florin Halipa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Victor Harnagea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sustorog fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Sustorog were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
