Spectators: 7723 (Terracing: 5793, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) Costin Petrescu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Costin Dobrițoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costin Dobrițoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Târban having to interfere. Gigel Fărcășan in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sever Târban, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, CSA Steaua Bucuresti's Sever Târban got control of the ball when Gigel Fărcășan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Surda's Costin Dobrițoiu got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of CSA Steaua Bucuresti booed when Surda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Harbuz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Surda's zone, Cezar Urduban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristi Neagu came out of the goal and Cezar Urduban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristi Neagu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Petrescu in the 33rd minute of the match. If Costin Dobrițoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 40 minutes, Costin Petrescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CSA Steaua Bucuresti and the Surda players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Costin Petrescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gigel Fărcășan came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Surda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigel Fărcășan couldn't finish the play. If Costin Dobrițoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gigel Fărcășan made the kick off in the second half. Cristi Neagu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costin Petrescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute, Costin Dobrițoiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sever Târban was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 59thth minute of the game Costin Dobrițoiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CSA Steaua Bucuresti's Sever Târban was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristi Neagu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Ignătescu in the 63rd minute of the match. Emilian Răţescu's late challenge caught a Surda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilian Răţescu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Surda booed when CSA Steaua Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilian Răţescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to CSA Steaua Bucuresti getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Costin Petrescu hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes CSA Steaua Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Răţescu. Gigel Fărcășan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th match minute, CSA Steaua Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costin Petrescu to maneuver through the defense. Filip Ignătescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Cristi Neagu made a huge save. When Narcis Văidianu fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CSA Steaua Bucuresti's protests and gave Narcis Văidianu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Narcis Văidianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Surda booed when CSA Steaua Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Popic didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Surda players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
