Isac Râznicu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Isac Răduț showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. In the 12th minute Liviu Hănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Râznicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of BANAT VIOLA booed when Steaua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodor Cosâmbescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. BANAT VIOLA's Isac Răduț got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicodim Orădan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicodim Orădan in the 18th minute of play forced BANAT VIOLA's goalkeeper Emilio Miconi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodor Cosâmbescu hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Iustinian Negulici took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isac Râznicu. Steaua's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 25th play minutes Liviu Hănescu shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Isac Râznicu and just under the crossbar into goal. Emilio Miconi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodim Orădan, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st play minute Isac Răduț came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Isac Râznicu. 3-0. A collision led to Steaua getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Teodor Cosâmbescu hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, BANAT VIOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Orădan came free, but Emilio Miconi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Isac Răduț could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Isac Râznicu however easily saved by the left post. Emanuel Dășanu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Emilio Miconi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicodim Orădan in the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Costel Ghizdeanu made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Liviu Hănescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Steaua's Isac Râznicu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 53 minutes into the game, Liviu Hănescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Isac Râznicu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 58 minutes into the game, BANAT VIOLA's Isac Răduț nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isac Râznicu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Liviu Hănescu scored 6-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isac Râznicu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 67 minutes of play Steaua's Teodor Cosâmbescu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Isac Râznicu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BANAT VIOLA. 73 minutes into the match, BANAT VIOLA's Gigi Barbu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isac Râznicu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liviu Hănescu in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isac Râznicu saved Steaua from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Liviu Hănescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isac Râznicu was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 85th match minute, Steaua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petruț Alexandrescu to maneuver through the defense. Liviu Hănescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, BANAT VIOLA's goalkeeper Emilio Miconi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicodim Orădan. Costel Ghizdeanu's late challenge caught a BANAT VIOLA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costel Ghizdeanu helped the player get up and apologised. Costel Ghizdeanu hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes, BANAT VIOLA's Iustinian Negulici shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Isac Râznicu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in BANAT VIOLA reached it. When the referee ended the match the BANAT VIOLA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
