In the 11th match minute, Ortiteag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Călin Cornoiu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Maghear in the 15th minute of play forced Ortiteag's goalkeeper Iustin Mureșan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Nichifor Benga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iustin Mureșan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavius Neagoe charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flavius Neagoe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Flavius Neagoe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Isac Stancu fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ortiteag's protests and gave Isac Stancu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, Ortiteag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isac Stancu to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cazimir Săvescu during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cazimir Marincean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Călin Cornoiu in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Ortiteag's goal looked a bit too open when Irinel Breazu came free, but Iustin Mureșan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iustin Mureșan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Maghear, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, FC POLI TIMISOARA's Alexandru Maghear ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iustin Mureșan. Iustin Mureșan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Sever Dragușin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nichifor Benga kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sever Dragușin made the kick off in the second half. Iustin Mureșan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Maghear, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute Emilian Tărău shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iustin Mureșan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC POLI TIMISOARA getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Cazimir Săvescu hit a great ball. Iustin Mureșan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Maghear in the 67th minute of play. Iustin Mureșan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandru Maghear went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Iustin Mureșan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Maghear, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alexandru Maghear had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavius Neagoe got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Flavius Neagoe hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the FC POLI TIMISOARA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
