Spectators: 7738 (Terracing: 5805, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) Gottlob's Narcis Mardare started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aron Arnăuțoiu's late challenge caught a F.C. Sarsan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aron Arnăuțoiu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Gottlob was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Arnăuțoiu to maneuver through the defense. Gottlob's Marcel Bilașco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavius Cândroveanu in the 14th minute of play. Francisc Iliuță could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Alexandru Decuseară made a huge save. In the 19th match minute, F.C. Sarsan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavius Cândroveanu to maneuver through the defense. Narcis Mardare recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th match minute, Gottlob was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Cismarescu to maneuver through the defense. When Remus Șeitan came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the F.C. Sarsan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remus Șeitan couldn't finish the play. Remus Șeitan scored 1-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcel Bilașco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisc Iliuță might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandru Decuseară. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisc Iliuță ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, F.C. Sarsan's Alexandru Decuseară got control of the ball when Mihnea Şerbănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Gottlob defense, Aron Corbeanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Bilașco. The Gottlob fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Bilașco should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remus Șeitan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of F.C. Sarsan booed when Gottlob was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Cismarescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, F.C. Sarsan's Gelu Crăciunescu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gelu Crăciunescu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of F.C. Sarsan protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gelu Crăciunescu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to F.C. Sarsan getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gelu Crăciunescu hit a great ball. Alexandru Decuseară didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narcis Mardare went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horia Georgescu in the 71st minute of play forced F.C. Sarsan's goalkeeper Alexandru Decuseară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 played minutes Gottlob got a freekick which was hit by Francisc Iliuță. Alexandru Decuseară showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horia Georgescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihnea Şerbănescu in the 79th minute of play forced F.C. Sarsan's goalkeeper Alexandru Decuseară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the F.C. Sarsan players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gottlob.
