Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Narcis Mardare started the match with the kick off. Sandu Văduva's late challenge caught a Popteleac's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandu Văduva helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gottlob's Sandu Văduva got a free kick in the 5th minute. Popteleac's Marcu Onișoru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Şerbănescu in the 13th minute of play. Marcu Onișoru came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Gottlob's Mihnea Şerbănescu. But to his dismay, Mihnea Şerbănescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marcu Onișoru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Mardare in the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gottlob's Gigi Todoran got a free kick in the 34th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

A throw-in in the 64th minute of the game was made by Sandu Văduva with Mihnea Şerbănescu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Francisc Iliuță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Gottlob getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sandu Văduva hit a great ball. The supporters of Gottlob booed when Popteleac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Ulici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcu Onișoru made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Narcis Mardare sent off a good shot on target. Ionică Ulici kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Marcu Onișoru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisc Iliuță in the 85th minute. Manole Nica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the game, Aron Arnăuțoiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gottlob's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Popteleac the free kick. In the 87th match minute, Gottlob was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Arnăuțoiu to maneuver through the defense. The Gottlob supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gottlob would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
