Popteleac's Marcu Onișoru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Chifu in the 26th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Popteleac's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Chifu came free, but Marcu Onișoru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Paul Oravițan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marcu Onișoru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Angheluță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Lucrețiu Angheluță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcu Onișoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 61 minutes, Alin Chițes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stioboreni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alin Chițes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
