Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nistor Iorga made the kick off and thus started the match. Hotin's Ionică Socoriceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Văduva in the 8th minute of play. When Barbossa's Narcis Mardare in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hotin's goalie prevented a goal. After 13th play minutes Narcis Mardare shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Ionică Socoriceanu and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Narcis Mardare managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbossa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narcis Mardare was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hotin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Gigi Todoran walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Ionică Socoriceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Mardare in the 22nd minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Hotin got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Povară. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narcis Mardare in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionică Socoriceanu saved Hotin from getting behind. A collision led to Barbossa getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Horia Georgescu hit a great ball. Ionică Socoriceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcis Mardare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narcis Mardare in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionică Socoriceanu saved Hotin from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narcis Mardare in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionică Socoriceanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Narcis Mardare made a kick off. With his leg Ionică Socoriceanu managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Barbossa's Narcis Mardare fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 53 played minutes Hotin got a freekick which was hit by Octav Lazăr. After a rather tough play, Barbossa's Francisc Iliuță got a free kick in the 58th minute. Narcis Mardare in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ionică Socoriceanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narcis Mardare in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionică Socoriceanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Narcis Mardares short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Ionică Socoriceanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Narcis Mardare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Narcis Mardare in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ionică Socoriceanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Barbossa fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Barbossa's Narcis Mardare looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 90thth minute of the game Narcis Mardare who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hotin's Ionică Socoriceanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barbossa played a much better game than Hotin and deserved their victory. The Hotin players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
