The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, F.C. Sarsan's Aron Corbeanu got a free kick in the 4th minute. Sarsan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half F.C. Sarsan were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nistor Iorga to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Aron Corbeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Sarsan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aron Corbeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remus Șeitan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remus Șeitan in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionică Socoriceanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Valer Erbașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Octav Lazăr notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of F.C. Sarsan's Alexandru Decuseară. Alexandru Decuseară was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Flavius Cândroveanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Sarsan's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavius Cândroveanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionică Socoriceanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ionică Socoriceanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 95th minute Octav Lazăr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandru Decuseară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over F.C. Sarsan could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hotin throughout the match.
