Spectators: 7680 (Terracing: 5761, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gică Turceanu started the match with the kick off. A collision led to FC Dacia Unirea Braila getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Claudiu Herlea hit a great ball. If Emilian Bute had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 5 minutes, Traian Tănăsescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dumbravioara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Traian Tănăsescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Emilian Bute managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dumbravioara's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilian Bute was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Ciorobîtcă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Emilian Bute had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Laurențiu Bot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Irod took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gică Turceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Dumbravioara booed when FC Dacia Unirea Braila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Turceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Traian Tănăsescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Ciorobîtcă having to interfere. Emilian Bute recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the game, FC Dacia Unirea Braila 's Gică Turceanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bogdan Irod made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Emilian Bute fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Ciorobîtcă having to interfere. Albert Ciorobîtcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Tănăsescu in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd minute of the match, Traian Tănăsescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Albert Ciorobîtcă saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Iustin Bodea hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 1-2 became the score in the 46th minute when Emilian Bute elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emilian Bute stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emilian Bute received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Albert Ciorobîtcă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudiu Herlea got free with Bogdan Irod in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Bogdan Irod successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Dumbravioara's Bogdan Irod got control of the ball when Claudiu Herlea tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 played minutes Dumbravioara got a freekick which was hit by Isac Dacian. Bogdan Irod showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Turceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Gică Turceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bogdan Irod tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bogdan Irod made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Turceanu in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Iustin Bodea notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Dumbravioara's Bogdan Irod. Bogdan Irod was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emilian Bute struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Albert Ciorobîtcă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dumbravioara. Traian Tănăsescu scored 2-3 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Albert Ciorobîtcă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 89 minutes, Emilian Bute managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dumbravioara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilian Bute was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Traian Tănăsescu took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albert Ciorobîtcă. Albert Ciorobîtcă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Despite being the better team, Dumbravioara failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
