After having played for 3 minutes, Grigore Burdujan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zabrautii SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grigore Burdujan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vlad Ghimpu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Staicu in the 6th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tiberiu Staicu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vlad Ghimpu was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. In the 8th minute Tiberiu Staicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Ghimpu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grigore Burdujan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Constantin Buciuceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nae Andrieșanu hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Dacian Manu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Constantin Buciuceanu. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 33rd minute, F.C.Progresul Timisoara's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dacian Manu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Dacian Manu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Zabrautii SC's Dacian Manu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Constantin Buciuceanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Grigore Burdujan came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Zabrautii SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grigore Burdujan couldn't finish the play. Constantin Buciuceanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dacian Manu's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dacian Manu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Grigore Burdujan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Grigore Burdujan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zabrautii SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Grigore Burdujan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantin Buciuceanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Constantin Buciuceanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Zabrautii SC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Grigore Mumuleanu hit a great ball. Zabrautii SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
