Francisc Dragota took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Avram Nicea. Avram Nicea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Cătălin Finteșteanu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of CSM Resiţa's Ferdinand Pandrea. Ferdinand Pandrea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the match, NeverGiveUp's goalkeeper Avram Nicea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Tăutu. Francisc Dragota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avram Nicea having to interfere. Avram Nicea made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Ernest Mavrodin sent off a good shot on target. Avram Nicea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisc Dragota went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Constantin Danciu hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. NeverGiveUp's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Ernest Mavrodin scored to the left of an out of position Avram Nicea, making the score, 3-1. CSM Resiţa's Francisc Dragota was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. George Tăutu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Avram Nicea when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to NeverGiveUp getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Constantin Danciu hit a great ball. Ferdinand Pandrea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Verzea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cătălin Finteșteanu was the one to do the kick off. Ferdinand Pandrea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentin Verzea's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute Cătălin Finteșteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Pandrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusebiu Butuc's late challenge caught a CSM Resiţa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusebiu Butuc helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of NeverGiveUp:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CSM Resiţa:s goal. Dorel Buhoiu placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CSM Resiţa! Ferdinand Pandrea had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Constantin Danciu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Valentin Verzea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Pandrea made a huge save. In the 70th match minute, NeverGiveUp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantin Danciu to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Titulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Avram Nicea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Francisc Dragota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When CSM Resiţa's George Tăutu in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NeverGiveUp's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 81 minutes, Gică Rotariu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSM Resiţa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gică Rotariu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, NeverGiveUp's goal looked a bit too open when Francisc Dragota came free, but Avram Nicea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The CSM Resiţa fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when CSM Resiţa's Francisc Dragota looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 94 minutes into the game, NeverGiveUp's Valentin Verzea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ferdinand Pandrea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. Francisc Dragota charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisc Dragota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th match minute, CSM Resiţa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisc Dragota to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th match minute, CSM Resiţa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisc Dragota to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CSM Resiţa had played much better football throughout.
