The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zabrautii SC's Vlad Ghimpu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Moarcăș in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to FC DEIS -MM- getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Fabian Moarcăș hit a great ball. Mugur Constantinescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grigore Burdujan went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusebiu Oncescu got free with Vlad Ghimpu in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC DEIS -MM-'s goalkeeper Mugur Constantinescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute Grigore Burdujan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Constantinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Zabrautii SC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Moarcăș came free, but Vlad Ghimpu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC DEIS -MM- booed when Zabrautii SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sever Turdeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mugur Constantinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC DEIS -MM-'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Dacian Manu scored to the left of an out of position Mugur Constantinescu, making the score, 1-2. Vlad Ghimpu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustin Carabulea, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Eusebiu Oncescu took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vlad Ghimpu. Vlad Ghimpu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Moarcăș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paul Lunca made in the 84th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fabian Moarcăș immediately put the ball in play. Paul Lunca kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Vlad Ghimpu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustin Carabulea, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
