Spectators: 7433 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) Iulian Ghimiș started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Sarafinesti's goal looked a bit too open when Iulian Ghimiș came free, but Andrei Bântu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrei Bântu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Gănescu in the 7th minute of play. Horaţiu Orescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrei Bântu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horaţiu Orescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Iulian Ghimiș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonard Gănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gelu Iorgulescu charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gelu Iorgulescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Costel Patriciu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Sarafinesti getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Cristinel Buda hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Leonard Gănescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th match minute, Sarafinesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavel Pădure to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarafinesti's goalkeeper Andrei Bântu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Sarafinesti getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Alin Alecu hit a great ball. Andrei Bântu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iulian Ghimiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Costel Patriciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Leonard Gănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristinel Buda to strike the kick off in the second half. If Codrin Iovan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Äç.Jökërül 89's zone, Cristinel Buda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dacian Romulus came out of the goal and Cristinel Buda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Emil Butuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dacian Romulus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristinel Buda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Sarafinesti:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Äç.Jökërül 89:s goal. Cornel Iorga's late challenge caught a Äç.Jökërül 89's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cornel Iorga helped the player get up and apologised. Dacian Romulus came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sarafinesti's Costel Patriciu. But to his dismay, Costel Patriciu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 87 minutes into the game, Cristinel Buda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Dacian Romulus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute, Toader Papadima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 94 in the game by Leonard Gănescu from a close distance when the talented Andrei Bântu managed to make a qualified save. Sarafinesti's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Äç.Jökërül 89's Iulian Ghimiș slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andrei Bântu. That made the score 2-2 after 98 minutes of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
