Dacian Manu started the match with the kick off. Dacian Manu struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Augustin Carabulea might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vlad Ghimpu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augustin Carabulea ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the match, Zabrautii SC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Moarcăș came free, but Vlad Ghimpu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mugur Constantinescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dacian Manu in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Eusebiu Oncescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grigore Burdujan struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Mugur Constantinescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zabrautii SC. Eusebiu Oncescu kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 25 minutes, Fabian Moarcăș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC DEIS -MM- and the Zabrautii SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vlad Ghimpu came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by FC DEIS -MM-'s Viorel Voineag. But to his dismay, Viorel Voineag quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Zabrautii SC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Dacian Manu hit a great ball. In the 36th minute Augustin Carabulea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Ghimpu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Viorel Voineag got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusebiu Oncescu to make the kick off. The supporters of Zabrautii SC booed when FC DEIS -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Moarcăș didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Dacian Manu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mugur Constantinescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Zabrautii SC's Dacian Manu got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 65 minutes, Eusebiu Oncescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC DEIS -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebiu Oncescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute of the match, Eusebiu Oncescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vlad Ghimpu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 70 minutes into the game, FC DEIS -MM-'s Augustin Carabulea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vlad Ghimpu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Grigore Burdujan struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Mugur Constantinescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zabrautii SC. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of FC DEIS -MM-:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Zabrautii SC:s goal. Grigore Burdujan shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Dacian Manu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute Fabian Moarcăș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Ghimpu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 played minutes Zabrautii SC got a freekick which was hit by Grigore Mumuleanu. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Eusebiu Oncescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC DEIS -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebiu Oncescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vlad Ghimpu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
